D.A. Cairns is married with two teenagers and lives on the south coast of New South Wales where he works as an English language teacher and writes stories in his very limited spare time.
He has had around 30 short stories published (but who’s counting right?) He blogs at Square Pegs and has authored three novels, Devolution, Loathe Your Neighbor, and his latest, Ashmore Grief, which is available from Artema Press.
He is the author of "The Voice."
Jennifer Spellman is a long-time Athens County resident. About to graduate from Ohio University with a Bachelor's in English, she enjoys reading and writing speculative fiction as well as poetry. Even as a child, she was a huge fan of fantasy, science fiction, and horror; the first “grown-up” novel she read was Dean Koontz’s Watchers at eight years old. As an adult, she reads Stephen King, Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, Dennis L. McKiernan, and a plethora of poets, contemporary and otherwise. She appreciates Raven’s Light’s use of Huginn and Munin as a source of inspiration, since she also studies the pre-Christian Scandinavian lore that these famous ravens come from. She lives in Nelsonville with her husband and three unruly cats.
She is the author of "Chaos Cloud Takes Virginia."
Tom Borthwick is a life-long Scranton resident, traveler, English teacher, adjunct professor, blogger, some-time political candidate, and a whole bunch of other fun stuff that leaves little time to breathe. He is a graduate of Marywood University with a BA in English and received both an MA and MFA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University.
He is the author of "Be Well."
Isaac Noland hails from the pastoral bliss of rural Marietta, Isaac enjoys watching smoke drift over rolling hills. A lover of grilled meats and bucolic settings, he feels most at home when standing over a couple racks of ribs on a Weber charcoal grill.
In the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism master's program, Isaac plans to research the intrinsic profundity of selfies. Isaac is also editor-in-chief of Speakeasy magazine, a student run online publication based out of Ohio University. At night he masquerades as a cook at Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery, where he is prized for his consistent quality-control tastings of the house made craft brews.
Isaac wants everyone to know that a dull knife can be more dangerous than a sharp one. A sharp knife is very important. He is the writer of "Slime Journey."
Elizabeth Lubinger is currently at Ohio University double majoring in studio art and psychology. Her primary focus in art is ceramics, but other media interest her as well, such as printmaking and drawing. A lot of her inspiration comes from the transformation and relationship between the past and the present, as well as the human body. Elizabeth hopes to eventually go into art therapy and use creativity to help adults who suffer from addiction and mental illness. As much as Elizabeth loves Cleveland, the city she calls her home, her goal is to end up somewhere out west, or The Big Apple, after graduation.
She is the artist behind "The Essentials, 2013."
