Submission Procedures
Please submit your fiction through our email: ravenslightjournal@gmail.com.
In the subject of the email, please put "Submission - [Genre]" and put Fantasy, SF, or Horror in place of "Genre." In the body of the email include your name, email address, and story title. Attach your story to the email as a Word document or PDF.
Your story should be in 12 pt. font in Times New Roman, Calibri, or Arial. Please double-space and include page numbers in the top right hand corner.
These requirements are in place to make the reading process easier for us. If your submission does not adhere to these requirements, your story will not be read.
When we have received your story, we will send you a confirmation email. The reading process can take one to two weeks before we get back to you on whether we wish to include your story in our next issue.

Guidelines
Ravens' Light is seeking original fantasy, science fiction, and horror short fiction between 1000-10,000 words. Stories more than 5,000 words in length may be subject to publication in parts, at our discretion. All types of speculative fiction are welcome, and we want to push our writers to cross the boundaries of what is considered genre fiction and what is considered literary fiction.
We do not publish fan fiction.
We will accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know in the body of your email and alert us as soon as possible if your story is accepted by another magazine.
Reimbursement
If we do select your story for the next issue, we will contact you by email. For each issue we select a limited number of stories from each genre and pay $5 per story. Payments will be made out via PayPal.
Rights
By choosing to be published by Ravens' Light, you are agreeing to giving us exclusive First Electronic Rights for a period of thirty (30) days from date of web publication. Rights are then no longer exclusive and revert back to the author. Ravens' Light will also require the non-exclusive right to archive your your work on our website indefinitely.
